I warmly welcome you to the homepage of Abigail Gallery and Auction House. It's a a very complex task to be a gallery owner. It integrates the basic characteristics of my original profession in a harmonious way; preciseness, the attraction to beauty and the big opportunity of our time, launching out on a business enterprise.

Many have layed down the most important feature of a gallery auctioneer. My firm belief is that besides the professional preparedness, empathy and love, trust is also essential in our gallery's activity. One of my main self-imposed aims is to present those Hungarian artists who made a name for themselves abroad but are not or just slightly known in their homeland to their compatriots. I started the series of exhibitions called „Prophets are coming home” in 2005. So far I've presented the art of more than thirty artists of Hungarian origin who live and compose in the various parts(France, Germany, Australia, Romania) of the world. In addition to that I always pick and support one of the graduates who attend The Hungarian University of Fine Arts, giving he or she the opportunity to foreshow his or her art at exhibitions and auctions. I also find it very important to quest for unfairly neglected oeuvres and also to present them. I regularly visit the European exhibitions, auctions and art shows which deal with visual culture. My aim, besides spreading the word about Hungarian art, is to exhibit international contemporary art in Abigail Gallery.
